Italy Trip: Part Two

We spent one more day in Tuscany exploring the countryside away from Pisa. We drove to Vinci, were Leonardo da Vinci was from. This was a cute little village that we loved visiting.

We were able to see a few of Leonardo da Vinci’s inventions but we couldn’t find the ticket office so we didn’t get to go in the museum…but that is okay, we still had a blast.

We were also able to see lots of the Tuscan countryside. It is pretty once you get away from all the cities and industrial centers. There are lots of olive groves and vineyards.

After Vinci we headed to Florence. Uncle Clint said this was a must see so we didn’t want to miss it. We were finally able to find parking after our GPS took down a few roads we are pretty sure were for buses only…oops. Oh well, we did find a place to park and then we hoofed it the rest of the time. We were getting pretty hungry by this time so we stopped and had some panini. Someone was just a little tired by this point and decided that a nap sounded better than panini (Though he did eventually wake up for some). It was so yummy!

After resting we then headed out to find the Dome. We did find it and it was worth the effort. It is a very beautiful building, we could see why Uncle Clint wanted us to come here.

And of course we finished the day off in Florence with gelato. Here is Berlynn waiting for another bite of hers in front of the Dome. (Sorry it is a little blurry)
